As this is our first year in Suffolk, we thought we’d keep it simple with four options;
  1. Nine & Dine: a round of 9 holes with your friends, maybe create a four ball (book a team or as an individual to be teamed up with others)
  2. Golf Tuition: 3 hours of golf tuition with the Seckford’s golfing team for all levels
  3. Ramble: a 2-3 hour ramble around the immediate area led by an experienced walker
  4. Supper only
Which ever option you choose, the afternoon includes a meet and greet with tea/coffee and a bacon butty (vegetarian options available), a one course supper followed by speeches and entertainment.
Of course, as a fund raiser, we will be holding a raffle & other opportunities to make some donations to our cause.

The Dinner: will be introduced by Red Trouser day Founder Paul Finch.

Guest dinner speakers:

  • Mr Martin Sinclair, consultant surgeon from Ipswich Hospital,  who will be sharing with us some of his work and why they need our funds
  • Mark Murphy MBE, CEO of Cancer Support Suffolk, who will share with us some amusing stories

The speakers will be followed by raffle and auction. All funds raised in support of Colorectal and Bowel Cancer research.

Seckford Golf Club is set in beautiful Suffolk countryside and is the perfect challenge for any golfer. We are confident in saying that all types of golfer will enjoy their day with us. The club is also sited in a lovely area of countryside making it great for walks and  rambles. Seckford Golf Club is England Golf Club of the Year 2023 Winner.

Dress code: On the course, the dress code is normal golf attire. During the supper, the dress code is casual relaxed.

We are also running a sponsorship competition; we can set up for you, a fundraising page on our website, or feel free to set one up on JustGiving, We are a registered charity and if you raise £50; you will receive a sought after Red Trouser Day coffee mug, and if you raise £100+ you will receive a mug and a T- Shirt. Send an email to paul@redtrouserday.com to confirm you are entering this extra bit of fun.

All too often we are hearing more and more people are affected by bowel cancer. In our small community we know of two people who have lost their lives in the last 6 weeks owing to being dioagnosed far too late.
