NEJA’s Art Walks and Red Trouser Day present

A guided tour of Tate Modern gallery with our favourite art historian, Julija Svetlova

Saturday 16th November 2024, 11:00am to 13:00pm

What will we do?

At Tate Modern, we will look at some fabulous art from a fresh angle and try to experience it on a more personal level, without any preconceived ideas. Ask questions! Get excited! Let’s talk about art in a way where no question is too big, or too small, or too right, or too wrong!

We will cover around 20 art works, a mix of abstract paintings, photography and sculpture. All ages are welcome, no specific knowledge of art is required, and the Experience is easily tailored. Allow Julija to guide you through the galleries of Tate Modern on a curious inquiry into what we see, and hopefully, after the 2 hours that we spend together, you will acquire the skills of looking, seeing and talking about contemporary art.

Where?

Housed in the building of a former power station, Tate Modern is one of the largest museums of modern and contemporary art in the world. It ranks first in the list of London’s Top 10 attractions and fifth globally, hosting 6 million visitors a year. The building is fully wheelchair accessible.
