Murder, Mystery, Mayhem…and Medicine; A Guided City Walk
Today’s City of London is known as a centre of global finance. However, the streets that are now crowded with bankers and IT professionals were once the scene of riots, religious controversies, and public executions. Explore the dark side of the city, including the mystery of ‘Scratching Fanny’, lives taken – and saved – by the notorious body snatchers, the arm nailed to the gate, and the cook who was boiled alive. The return of Kevins guided city walk by a historian. We will start outside St Paul's Tube by Cafe Nero and finish at Smithfield market around St Bart's. The evening will end in a suitable venue for a drink and a quiz on what you have just learnt. Red Trousers are a must of course.
